
Ministry of improvement of Ukraine directed appeal to Polish finance and infrastructure ministriesand to the European Commission in connection with complaints by Ukrainian road hauliers on cash penalties imposed on them during transport in Poland – said Interfax-Ukraine agency on Saturday.
According to the Ministry, Ukrainian road hauliers have fulfilled the work of the Polish Government to registry 3rd country carriers in the SENT/RMPD strategy erstwhile passing through Poland from 1 November 2024.

‘Currently, as reported by carriers, fines are imposed for insignificant method errors e.g. no reflective triangle. He recalled that the main intent of the introduction SENT/RMPD system is to prevent cabotage operations. Cabotage transport is simply a commercial cargo transport between reception points located in another EU or EFTA associate State than the country in which the carrier established its business.
"We are convinced of the correct operation of SENT/RMPD itself, the request for its support and the clear link between the infringement and the sanction applied," noted Derkacz.
