Finally, the time came — Karol Nawrocki, a candidate for president de facto for the Law and Justice Party, decided to get in the shoes of the predecessor of Andrzej Duda and savor the good old “ideology of gender”. At a gathering with voters in Oława, he showed a printed cover of the non-binarity comic book, scolded a small about the request to defend children from indoctrination and “calling for sex change”, and then threw the cover into the shredder. Everything with Rafał Trzaskowski in the background, of course, due to the fact that the comic book was expected to be recommended to children at the Warsaw Museum of Modern Art.
It's time for details. The comic that caused specified outrage is an autobiographical communicative about increasing up and discovering its identity. This must be said directly: Nawrocks and PiS are engaged in creamy propaganda. "We gotta defend our children from the depraved sex ideology" is simply a conviction from the textbook of Putin's lean. A textbook written to guarantee that the societies of European countries and the United States polarise themselves around imaginary problems specified as "sexing education of children", alternatively of covering those burning as economical and social inequalities or Putin's aggression. The weaker, more deconcentrated Western countries, the stronger Russia — it is simply the rule of dividing and ruling applied in practice. It doesn't substance if this time it's a non-binar transgender identity, a non-heteronormative sexual orientation, or a sexual education devoted to the subject of safety and protection from sexual violence. Right-wing demagogues do not care how their wars affect the well-being of teenagers, the number of unwanted pregnancies or avoidable sexually transmitted diseases, just to keep pretending that sexuality occurs in man at the minute of entering a heterosexual marriage.
Donald Trump threatened trans people in the run and won, and just after the inauguration announced that national institutions recognized only male and female sex and that it could not be changed. He called it "the return to biological truth", which has small to do with technological knowledge. This raised speech and mention to undeniably values which are characterised only by loosely defined ‘us’ should concern everyone. “Safety of our children” and “restore biological truth” is simply a language of fascism, nationalistic narratives about “Our” purity and homogeneity, the rightness of “Our” run to deal with manifestations of differentness. Sometimes this diversity is migrants who endanger “Our” women, children and culture, sometimes it is an “foreign element” among us who request to be thrown into the shredder.
The most terrible force always begins with normalization excluding words. The candidate for the president of Poland, who tears into pieces the word “queer”, a word that describes respective million LGBT+ people in his country, should be caught in a devastating criticism. The fact that we're talking about planned action, not spontaneous failure, is all the more shameful.

So it was natural that erstwhile shortly after the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, celebrated words came out that “Auschwitz did not fall abruptly from the sky”, many people read it as an appropriate and timely warning. Marian Turski, historian, writer and erstwhile prisoner of the concentration camp then warned against discrimination against minorities, stigmatizing and dividing people into worse and better ones, from turning a blind eye.
