Cadets will learn to operate drones

The strategy for military classes in the fresh school year is drone education. This is the goal of the program of classes in the Ministry of Defence of Military Preparation troops presented present by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The head of the MON took part in the solemn start of the school year by cadets from Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

Almost 400 cadets from 14 schools from Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship took part in an appeal today, which was hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

– I would like to congratulate you all very warmly," said the head of the MON. – To all those who wear a cadet uniform, wearing white-red on their shoulder, proudly build patriotism, their preparation for adulthood, their cognition and skills," he added. The head of the MON pointed out that students of military classes who combine discipline with learning military craft prepare for future service in the ranks of the Polish Army. – The equipment we deliver to the army today, the army we build, the expenses we bear, would be nothing if it were not for the future. You are the future," Kosiniak-Kamish pointed out.

Deputy Prime Minister recalled that at last year's MSPO reported the launch pilot drone learning programme in military classes. He assured that these issues were inactive at the centre of the defence department's attention and would shortly be included in the program of all military preparation troops. – This will be fundamentally essential at the minute of the top danger. In Ukraine, we see that drones are not missing. They are much more frequently missing operators. Therefore, the strategy for the school year 2026/2027 will be drone preparation, drone control, skill gain," said the Minister of Defence.

The ceremony ended with a display of a parade drill performed by the students of the Non-Public Professional Improvement squad in Kielce.

Currently there are 612 troops in almost 500 secondary schools in Poland. In the school year started on September 1, 43 fresh classes were launched.
