The president of the Law and Justice has already voted. Jarosław Kaczyński appeared in the afternoon at 1 of the polling stations in Żoliborz, Warsaw. His presence caused quite a few confusion. Not due to the fact that he's a well-known politician, but due to his behavior. Kaczyński did not identify himself with a individual ID or passport, but... a parliamentary card. As a result, a tiny chaos arose, but yet the erstwhile Prime Minister gave his voice.
On Sunday, May 18th, at 7:00 p.m., polling stations were opened – elections for the fresh president of Poland began. A fewer hours later Jarosław Kaczyński appeared in the polling station in Żoliborz, Warsaw. It's not the first time that the president of the Law and Justice has been involved. This time, it resulted from the deficiency of proof by the policy – as the majority of voters verify their identity. Instead, Kaczyński showed the members of the committee parliamentary legitimacy. Is that even acceptable?
‘The elector may so show any paper with a photograph to the committee — e.g. passport, driving licence, student card, including a paper which is invalid, provided that recognition on the basis of it is not in doubt’, informs the State Electoral Commission.
Apparently Kaczyński's parliamentary card met these requirements due to the fact that the president of the Law and Justice Office gave the floor.
This is not the first time that the appearance of Jarosław Kaczyński in the polling venue has aroused large emotions. During the election in 2023, it was loud about not letting the president of the Law and Justice go to the front of the line – the politician tried to bypass it to give his vote faster. The “Fact” recalls that Kaczyński was disciplined by patiently waiting voters. 1 of the queues fingered the politician's end of the line, and another people supported him in it.
