Three years ago Jarosław Kaczyński was the first to propose sending the Polish army to Ukraine. Today, however, he claims that we must not let our soldiers to come to the East, and the only warrant that they will not go there is supposedly Karol Nawrocki.

– A NATO peace mission or wider global agreement is needed, which will besides be able to defend itself and which will work in Ukraine," said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński in March 2022. At that time, he proposed the introduction of a mission involving Polish soldiers.

This year, he changed his head and said that this could not be allowed. On Tuesday 13 May, he stated that only Karol Nawrocki guarantees that the Polish military will not be utilized outside the country.

"First we learned from the media that Tusk had gone to Kiev as part of the alleged coalition of volunteers. Now we hear from American politicians that there are talks about sending Polish soldiers to Ukraine. Tusk has deceived Poles and plans to do so again" – Kaczyński wrote on platform X.

"There is no justification for sending Polish troops to Ukraine. May I remind you that the President's approval is essential for the usage of the Armed Forces outside the state. Only Charles Nawrocki guarantees she'll be gone. Only Karol Nawrocki can supply Poland and Poles with security," he added.

Kaczyński spoke about the words of U.S. peculiar Envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg. This 1 said present that 1 of the peaceful solutions he considered for the war in Ukraine was to put European forces west of Dnieper "to monitor the ceasefire".

In specified a mission, 4 European countries, including Poland, would take them. Kellog first talked about the alleged E3 group (UK, France, Germany), then about E4, i.e. with additional participation of Poland. Let's add that this is fundamentally an American preliminary peace plan.

Kellog's words met with the reaction of the Polish government. Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz present assured that Poland does not plan to send soldiers to Ukraine.

Similar words came from respective another representatives of the Polish government.

What did Kaczyński say about the Polish army in Ukraine?

Let us remind: the president of PiS proposed to send Polish troops to Ukraine 3 years ago, where the war was going on. Now we are only talking about a possible peace mission to areas where there will be at least a ceasefire. Kaczyński thought it made sense at the time, present it doesn't.

– If we are not surviving in a democratic state today, due to the fact that unfortunately democracy in Poland is retreating due to the violation of the law in an highly brutal way, due to the attempts made by opposition courts, we want to live in a democratic state, and we think that democracy will come back to Poland very rapidly and so doing this kind of work, it is simply impossible to implement against the express will of the vast majority of the society – said president Kaczyński in February of this year.

He besides translated his strategy 3 years ago.

"I will remind you, this was a proposal for a peace mission, of course with the participation of the American Army, a peace mission which was to enter those areas of Ukraine where there was no war, but to further make and thus first convince Putin that his hope of conquering Ukraine is completely unfounded (...), and secondly, in a peculiar situation at the time, it would dramatically improve the strategical situation of Ukrainian troops due to the fact that both the attack group of Kiev and this confederate group would be in the alleged strategical dilemma and would gotta turn any force in another direction," Kaczyński said.
