Veteran – a word that sounds proud. And not due to the fact that it does, but due to the fact that behind each uniform lies the communicative of a peculiar man, his effort, sacrifices, frequently pain, but above all his devotion to service. On May 29th we celebrate Veteran Day of Activities outside your borders. It is simply a peculiar day for all participants of abroad missions, erstwhile we pay tribute to those who performed tasks for the safety of their homeland beyond its borders. Let us remember that any returned to the country with the wounds, the visible and the invisible, and any did not return at all... May 29 is simply a perfect chance to make the words loud: we remember you and thank you for your service!
In 2024 the Veteran Center celebrated a decade of activity. We have followed a decade of initiatives, projects and concrete support that we have given each day. Only in 2024 we conducted nearly 4000 individual consultations – formal, legal and psychological. We have organised nearly 90 meetings in our office with more than 1,600 people and 22 educational events, with more than 2,500 participants. We besides met veterans in units across Poland. We have organised many events for them, including further editions of the Warrior Project, the Veterans Motorcycle Rally and competitions ‘Veteran Challenge’. We besides co-created projects: “Veterans inspire”, “Cryptony: W24”, the strategical Games Convention. All these projects had 1 message: we are for veterans. We are here to genuinely support and integrate the environment of mission participants abroad.
We don't slow down. In February of that year, a veteran squad one more time participated in the Invictus Games – global games for soldiers and veterans injured. We've already prepared sixth edition of the motorcycle rallyAnd we're facing the Veteran Challenge again. The sports event, which will be held this time in Gdynia, on the eve of authoritative Veteran Day celebrations.
Be with us on May 29th in Gdynia. Take part not only in authoritative celebrations, join our community and support veterans. You will be able to meet mission participants here – exceptional people who have experienced the amazing experiences and experiences that are read about in books. The celebration will besides be an chance to get to know veterans and realize them better, but besides – and possibly above all – to thank them for their dedication and service.
