Coordination is crucial in times of crisis. hazard monitoring, data integration, interservice communication – these are just a fewer functions that are met by the crisis management strategy of Teldat. Thanks to Jasmin, who was baptized during last year's flood, crisis management will be trained by students of the Academy of Land Forces.

Jasmin crisis management system was developed on the basis of well known in the Polish Army HMS Jasmin, i.e. combat and communication management systemwhich has been utilized for supporting command for many years. “Crisis” Jasmin is simply a novelty. – It is designed primarily to support crisis management, civilian protection and civilian protection. It enables action monitoring and management, coordination, integration of all geospatial systems, from which it can get information needed in critical situations specified as flood, epidemic or fire. It collects data from meteo- and hydrological sensors, drones or city cameras, informing about e.g. the leak in floodgates or a fresh fire outbreak. This besides applies to hybrid threats," explains Łukasz Blechman, Deputy manager of the Marketing and Trade Department of Teldat.

Combat baptism of the SZK “Jasmin” passed a year ago, during the flood in the south of Poland. This software was utilized to manage the crisis within the framework Operation Fenix, at the office of the 16th Lower Silesian Territorial Defence Brigade in Wrocław. And now, thanks to Jasmin, students will be able to learn crisis management Land Army Academy.

New Laboratory

In the training version, the recently opened School-Training laboratory of the Crisis Management strategy "Jaśmin" of the Department of Emergency Action in AWL was equipped. It is utilized by both civilian and military students of the university. They'll know the strategy for now. Then we will practice crisis scenarios depending on the kind of class so that students and students can get applicable crisis management skills – says Dr. Marta Kupryjanczyk, Head of the AWL Emergency Action Department.

What will they learn? – We can choose a script related to any kind of threat and play the function of, for example, a local crisis management center, police or fire brigade. Jasmin is an perfect tool for us to see how students will translate the explanation into practice, how they will behave in a crisis situation, what decisions they will make, who they will contact, who to coordinate with," explains Dr. Kuprijanczyk.

And the capabilities of the strategy are huge. The fresh Jasmin can besides make three-dimensional models for the improvement of the crisis. It besides has modules to alert and alert. “In addition, it allows the circulation of papers in the digital version, so that essential permits can be obtained on an ongoing basis to carry out crisis activities,” says Łukasz Blechman.

Tested not only during Phoenix

The military and experts emphasize that during last year's flood Jasmin did very well. The usage of this software was managed, among others, by engineering troops, logistics, medical components. Planned flights of drones and military helicopters monitoring the situation on rivers, were managed by reconnaissance soldiers, who documented losses or collected request lists from local population, e.g. for aggregates, dehumidifiers, etc.

Currently Jasmin is utilized during Horizon operations, i.e. monitoring of railway infrastructure by WOT in terms of diversion risks. Soldiers and services securing the western border in operations “Safe West” besides usage the SZK ‘Jasmin’.
