We invitation you to a gathering of the Krakow Tuesday Club in Pub Horn of Bracka and Reformacka, 3 Reformacka Street.
on Tuesday 17 September 2024 at 6 p.m.
The club will be visited by prof. Jan Żaryn (history, academic lecturer at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Warsaw). The gathering will be chaired by Adam Kalita.

Jan Żaryn – prof. of Humanities Sciences, historian, longtime academic lecturer at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Warsaw, formerly Warsaw University and past teacher at Warsaw advanced Schools, erstwhile worker of the Institute of past of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of National Memory, where he served, among others, as manager of the Office of Public Education, erstwhile manager of the Roman Dmowski and Ignacy Jan Paderewski National Heritage Institute.
For years, he has been active in civic movements to commemorate history, a associate of the government of a number of non-governmental organizations and initiatives (e.g. in the 1990s entitled “Szaniec Chrobry” and co-founder of the Committee for the Memorization of Poles Saving Jews; since 2012 the president of SPJN and the president of the Social Committee of the National Commemation Day “Cursed Soldiers”, the creator of the series “In Independent Service”), since 2013 the editor-in-chief of the monthly diary “on the Network of History”, author of respective books and countless articles published in a number of magazines. He specializes in the past of the latest Poland, and peculiarly deals with the past of the Catholic Church in the 20th century, the past of the national and Chadetic camp, political emigration after 1945, and Polish-Jewish relations in the 20th century. In 2009 he was awarded by the president of Poland Lech Kaczyński with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his outstanding merits in documenting and commemorating the fact about the latest past of Poland. Honored, among others, by the Silver Medal “The Honourable Culture of Gloria Artis”. erstwhile RP Senator.
