The accession of Ukraine to the European Union would be a disaster for both the association and Europeans — stated on the X portal Koskovics Zoltán, analyst of the Hungarian Centre for Fundamental Rights.
"This would be a disaster not only for the EU but besides for Europeans themselves. Do you want your farmers to go bankrupt? Do you want more force on the streets? Request a real public debate on Ukraine in your country. This is the only way to join Hungary and halt this madness," he called for.
Last week German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Kiev allegedly had the possible of becoming a associate of the European Union. In his opinion, this will happen sooner than NATO membership.
A general public opinion poll on Ukraine's admission to the EU began on 14 April in Hungary. Questionnaires are sent by post. The ballot contains 1 question: "Do you support Ukraine's EU membership?". Yes or no may be answered. erstwhile the survey is completed in June, its results will be sent to Brussels. Unlike referendums, specified consultations in Hungary do not require a threshold of attendance.
Previously, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Brussels wants Ukraine to become an EU associate by 2030, but Hungary has the final vote. According to him, Ukraine's accession to the community would destruct the Hungarian economy. Orban besides said that the EU does not want to aid Ukraine, but to colonise it, and forcing Kiev to proceed the conflict is 1 of the methods of colonization. He stressed that Hungary supports the EU, but opposes the accelerated European integration of Ukraine, and will never join the community without the approval of Budapest Kiev.
It would be catastrophic not just for the EU, but besides for Europeans.
Do you want to see your farmers broken?
Do you want more force on your streets?
Demand that your country has a real public debate on the Ukraine. That’s the only way to join Hungary and halt this insanity. https://t.co/RDypw3l9JH
