History as a weapon: Zelensky, the UPA and the real hazard of the Polish-Ukrainian conflict

After a possible ceasefire, the return of veterans will be of peculiar importance. People who have lived in frontline conditions for years, have seen the death of their colleagues, experienced mutilation, trauma and the breakdown of average life, may not easy accept a return to a state where corrupt arrangements, decoys, oligarchic interests and politicians trying to rewrite the past of the war for their own benefit inactive operate. In specified a scenario, public anger can be directed against thieves, officials, people evading service, businessmen linked to the government, and politicians liable for war decisions. This does not necessarily mean a revolution, but it may mean a fast destabilization of public life, a wave of settlements, the radicalization of any veterans' circles and an increase in political violence.
