As early as 14 June 2025, between 12:00 and 18:00, the Warsaw Citadel will become a vibrant centre of historical education, modern military technology and popular culture. Free admission, emotions guaranteed!
The Museum of the Polish Army invites to the historical and educational event “Heros of Steel” – a gathering with past and military, which will delight both military enthusiasts and full families with children. The programme of the event is full of attractions, and 1 of its biggest sensations will be the public presentation of the K2 Black Panther tank – 1 of the most modern tanks in the world, which is now coming to the equipment of the Polish army.
Lovers of past will have the chance to see the historical equipment of the 1st Armoured Division and 2nd Warsaw Armoured Brigade and the first uniforms and armaments of airmen from various eras. Exhibitions of modern military vehicles and aircraft equipment, as well as presentations of military models and promotional stands of military institutions and universities will besides take place.
There will besides be reflection on the most crucial moments of Polish past – thanks to the board exhibition devoted to the conflict of Monte Cassino, prepared in cooperation with the Archive of fresh Acts.
The biggest comic book premiere in Polish history
The peculiar event “Heros of Steel” will be the premiere of the first book of the reopened series “Pilot chopper – To the Rescue” – a cult military comic book that returns after years. There will be meetings with legends of the Polish comic book – Grzegorz Rosinski (the creator of Thorgal) and Marek Szyszko. Participants will be able to get autographs, watch first comic books and participate in workshops and the comic stock exchange.
Attractions for the full family
The organizers besides took care of the youngest guests. Children will be able to take part in games, games and competitions, as well as visit a photograph booth and take a image in a knight's helmet or historical uniform. 1 of the biggest attractions will be the COBI Mega Block Zone, where everyone will be able to build their favourite military vehicle with blocks.
