The lawyer General Adam Bodnar has asked the European Parliament to waive the immunity of the European Parliament to Mr Braun. The proposal is related, among others, to events in the infirmary in Oleśnica - said PG prok. Anna Adamiak on Tuesday.
The case concerns events of April 16, erstwhile Braun, then a candidate in the first circular of the presidential election, attempted to make a "civil" Gynecologist detain at the infirmary in Oleśnica, performing legal abortions there.
An investigation into the imprisonment of a gynaecologist during an incidental involving Braun is conducted by the territory Attorney's Office in Oleśnica. In addition, the prosecution conducts proceedings concerning criminal threats against Gynecologist and the conduct of abortion in the infirmary in Oleśnica in violation of the law.
Regardless of this investigation, criminal proceedings against Braun - after the EP waived his immunity in this case - are conducted by the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw. It's about Braun's extinguishing investigation - utilizing a fire extinguisher - of Khanu candles in December 2023 in the Sejm. Recently, Braun was to hear allegations in this case and to be questioned as a suspect, however, the prosecution due to another duties, inter alia related to the fire of the hall in Kawoczyn, postponed this term.
