The banner of Grzegorz Braun on the barrier of the judaic cemetery. ‘Is this another provocation’

Grzegorz Braun is an highly right-wing and controversial policy. He has been a Euro MP since 2024. January 15 b.r. announced his start in the presidential election, for which he was excluded from the Confederation.

On Saturday, Jan Dzięcielski, a councilman from Świdnica (Dolnośląskie province), made a photograph of Grzegorz Braun's electoral banner available on his social media profile. The banner was suspended on the barrier of the judaic cemetery. "Is this another provocation of the presidential candidate to hang an election banner on the barrier of the judaic Cemetery? If so, she does not entertain me at all, knowing the views and behaviour of this candidate," we read in the photograph description. The councillor reported that he had reported the situation of the city defender in Świdnica.

These are not the first banners on the barrier of the judaic cemetery

According to Świdnica24.pl portal, the banner was hung by national road no. 35 leading from Wrocław to the Polish-Czech border. During the erstwhile presidential campaign, Krzysztof Bosak's electoral ad was suspended there. It was then explained that those hanging the banner most likely did not know that they were doing so at the barrier of the judaic cemetery. Advertising has been removed.

The placement of electoral advertisements without the consent of the owner is at hazard of a fine, as Article 495. § 1 of the Electoral Code says.

Grzegorz Braun is known for his controversial behavior. 1 of the loudest events with his engagement was extinguishing utilizing a Chanukiji powder fire extinguisher, lit in the Sejm in connection with the celebration of Hanuki in December 2023. After the incident, Braun was punished by the Presidium of the Sejm and condemned by politicians.
