Roman Gierty left the plenary area just after singing the anthem on the occasion of the swearing-in of Karol Nawrocki. He then explained that he had been expected to do so by those with whom he had made electoral protests.

The National Assembly, during which the Members and Senators met together, was held on Wednesday at 10:00 in the Parliament's plenary room. The elected president, Karol Nawrocki, swore an oath to him.

“The Republic of Poland is the common good of all citizens, and the superior authorities in the Republic of Poland hold the nation,” said Andrzej Duda, the successor in his first authoritative message.

Gierty explains his behavior

Even before Roman Gierty's oath, he announced that he would leave the plenary area erstwhile the anthem was finished. He then explained that this was what the people with whom he was protesting had expected.

– After singing the National Hymn, I will leave the National Assembly. I know that's what those who have put together with me are expecting. But delight do not attack those who today, due to their office, gotta participate in this sad event – he then tweeted Gierty.

After singing the National Hymn, I will leave the National Assembly. I know that's what the people who protested with me anticipate me to do.
However, delight do not attack those who, today, due to their office, gotta take part in this sad event.
