“Ghost Hunt” in the winter scenery

It is this kind of unmanned aircraft that are commonly utilized during the war in Ukraine. The tiny explosives-carrying drones brought a full fresh quality to the battlefield. They pose a direct threat even to individual divisions, vehicles or lower-level command stations. NATO soldiers learn how to fight them. This can be done with jamming devices called jammerami. However, the military besides uses more conventional methods.

During the Ghost Hunt exercise, Polish soldiers usage portable rocket launchers Thunder and Lightning. Sets of the first kind can harm targets moving from 500 m to 5.5 km and up to 3,500 m. Lightning is their improved version. They destruct aircraft up to 6,5 km away, and at the same time scope a ceiling of 4 1000 metres. During Ghost Hunt, training takes place both day and after dark. The exercises are attended by soldiers of 2nd Battalion of the 7th U.S. Army Cavalry Regiment, who have been stationed on the east flank of NATO for any time, as well as airmen from 3 Polish units.
