German Chancellor Warns Russia: EU Will respond If No Breakthrough in Ukraine

The European Union is ready to impose tougher sanctions on Russia if there is no advancement in ending the war in Ukraine this week, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Tuesday, adding that a fresh sanctions package had already been prepared.
