The promotions for August 15 have already become a tradition. president Karol Nawrocki first handed them over.
General Dyw was appointed to the rank of Lieutenant General. Maciej Klisz, operational commander of types of armed forces. The second general star received:
• Brig-Gen Mirosław Polakow – Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Command of the Allied Forces in Europe (SHAPE) of the Allied Operations Command (ACO),
• Brig-Gen Adam Rodzikowski manager of the Armed Forces Department of the National safety Bureau,
• Brig-Gen Krzysztof Zielski – Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Polish Army.
Four officers were appointed as Brigadier General:
• Colonel Norbert Chojnacki – Commander of 2 Tactical Air Wings,
• Colonel Mariusz Kubarek — Deputy manager of the MON Operations Centre,
• Colonel Mieczysław Malec – Head of NATO Operations Division – Deputy of Polish Military typical to NATO and EU Military Committees,
• Colonel Václav Solitaire – Commander of 2nd Mechanized Brigade.

When presenting the General nominations, president Karol Nawrocki stressed that officers received them on the eve of the Polish Army Day. – It is simply a celebration of all Polish soldier: Private and General. It is besides a celebration of the full Polish nation, which stands in gratitude to Polish soldiers and Polish officers for the fact that we can live in Poland independent, free, sovereign – said the head of the armed forces.
Karol Nawrocki besides addressed promoted officers. – You are generals not only experienced soldiers, but besides brave soldiers. For you accept these nominations at a time erstwhile it is anxious around the world. (...) erstwhile Poland, Europe and the planet are under force from 1 side of ideology, which destroys the values that are close to all of us and, on the other, under force from an aggressive neighbour who is so close to our east borders, the president commented.
In his speech he besides referred to General Maczek, the father of Polish armored forces. – present I hear the words of General Stanislaw Maczek, 1 of your large predecessors, who said that the Polish soldier fights for the freedom of all nations, but dies only for Poland. Patriotism and attachment to the white red flag are what is most crucial to us," pointed out the head of the armed forces. Finally, he thanked the soldiers for their service and emphasized that Poles have large respect for the military.
Wise Command
During the ceremony in Belveder, the deputy prime minister and national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish besides spoke, which emphasized the estimation that soldiers enjoy in Polish society. That's what we have in common. This is respect, love and admiration for each of the soldiers of the Polish Army, for all our heroes who carry out their mission in Poland and abroad in military contingents – emphasized the head of the Ministry of Defence. During his speech, he addressed each of the promoted officers, emphasizing his merits and describing his duties.
The defence minister thanked the generals for their mission so far and stressed that he hoped for their wisdom and experience during further service. – The Polish Army deserves the best commanders due to the fact that it has the best soldiers. The army's salt is its soldiers, but without wise command it is even the most numerous, best equipped, best organized army that will not be effective – recalled Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish.
General promotions were awarded this year for the second time. On Flag Day on 2 May, 14 officers of the Polish Army received their appointments. Under Polish law, nominations for rank of generals and admirals are held at the request of the Minister of National Defence. The acts of appointment shall be handed to the head of the armed forces.
