Indonesia has so far acquired 56 cannon-haubic CAESAR MkI copies, for which the contract was concluded in 2012 (36 pieces) and 2017 (18 pieces) respectively with the then Nexter Group (now KNDS France). This resulted in 3 artillery battalions being equipped with modern artillery, which declassifies most of the equipment utilized by Indonesian artillerymen.
