Nearly 70 volunteers carry out their first military training. On Saturday, May 10th, basic training began in the 10th Świętokrzyskie Brigade of Territorial Defence. For the next 16 days, volunteers will learn the basics of the “military craft”.
An appointment was held last Saturday at 10 WBOT, attended by nearly 70 volunteers. The incarnation process took place in Kielce Bukovka. During the starting 16-day training primary volunteers, who have never been in the military before, will meet the military abecca. Under the supervision of experienced instructors from the school company 10 ŚBOT will learn, among others, the safe and efficient usage of weapons, the tactics of light infantry divisions, the basics of martial medicine, field of survey and communication. There will besides be no shortage of drill classes and military regulations. The training will finish the exam, the alleged ‘tactic loop’, which is simply a summary of acquired cognition and skills. Volunteers who successfully complete training will make a solemn military oath.
The Territorial Defence Army (WOT) is simply a volunteer-based formation – citizens who, outside the military service, execute various roles in society as teachers, doctors, paramedics, IT engineers, and farmers. It is their various competences, experiences and engagement that form the foundation of the WOT force. As a result, the Territorial Defence Army effectively builds resilience of local communities, supports emergency rescue actions and actively participates in ensuring the interior safety of the state.

Nearly 40 volunteers will join the already called soldiers on May 18. These in turn will receive compensatory training lasting 8 days, which is addressed to reserve soldiers returning to service. It consists of refreshing military cognition and skills and learning the specificity of territorial military service.

The 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence has more than 2,000 soldiers. The number of places on training due to the advanced percent of completion of the brigade is limited.
