date: July 09, 2025 Editor: GKut

At the Powązkowski Cemetery, we said goodbye to the sleep. Barbara Krasińska- wife of distinguished author Janusz Krasiński.
A beautiful letter from the biographer, Agatha of Trouble, You read it. Maria Dorota Pieńkowska, adding besides a fewer sentences from each other.
Warsaw was saying goodbye to Mrs. Baja through the rain.
The contents of the letter below

Personally – first I met Janusz Krasiński. He was an admired author by me. I dated him regularly. And then, by the way, I met his wife Barbara. A faithful companion of her husband, who was a man profoundly affected by the trauma of totalitarian crimes. Who survived to bear witness. To – paraphrase his own words from the fresh Before agony – leave his bloody way in writing.
Barbara, with patient endurance and admirable devotion, bore the destiny of the wife of a man who was struck and consumed by the powerful imperative of interior writing truth. I remember 1 of my visits to the Krasińskis, Barbara brought tea into the room. We had a fewer words, and then Barbara got out. Then Mr Janusz wondered and said, Thanks to her I have a home. I have a house!, he repeated. Another day, talking to the author about the current situation in the country, I heard: Oh, my wife Barbara! She is more afraid about Poland than I am!
That was Barbara Krasińska. A fervent patriot. She was following up on the current reports. She was worried about the future of the country. She prayed for her homeland on the rosary.
I became friends with Basia after the tragic death of Mr Janusz in 2012. She suggested that we call each another by name. She was direct, spontaneous, witty, curious about the world. She was greatly enjoying the journeys in which her daughter Agata took her many times.
Yes! Basia was full of life and energy.
In her heart, she carried affection for her loved ones and care for them, especially: Agatha's daughter, boy Gregory, Amelia's granddaughter and youngest household member, grandson John. The second most crucial thing for her was to save and commemorate her husband’s literary work. She carefully organized the archive of Janusz Krasiński, supported by investigator Dr. Agnieszka Kramkowska-Dąbrowska, author of the first monograph about the author from 2020. A year later, my book on Krasiński came out. We utilized this chance with Basia to address respective theatres nationwide by letter, encouraging the artists to scope for the outstanding dramas of Krasiński. We only got 2 evasive answers. too – deaf silence. The cordon of silence surrounding her husband hurt her. They enjoyed her all effort to break it. For example, the exhibition entitled Janusz Krasiński – against silence, by curator Maria Dorota Pieńkowska, organized on the tenth anniversary of the death of the writer. Basia with large commitment joined the preparations. This exhibition then, thanks to Prof. Zdzisław Krasnodębsk, went to Brussels to the European Parliament. Basia was present at its beginning in January 2023. The last joy for Barbara resumed a fewer months ago in the Arcanas a fresh edition of the fresh To be executed.
Basiu! present we say goodbye to you on these tears. May the good God embrace you with His infinite mercy, so that you may experience eternal happiness and may intercede for us from above. And we promise you prayer and that we will proceed your mission.
Peace be with you forever! See you, Basiu!

I'm signing all the words of Agata Troubleska, and I'll just add:
Basiu, you go from time to eternity. It is simply a good thing that we met a fewer days before you left and said a fewer comforting words about the future of Poland. As Agata rightly reminded, the destiny of our Homeland was a substance of first importance to you. Just like for the large author and your husband, Janusz Krasiński. Watch over us! It is up to us now whether the evidence that our distinguished Rodak has left will yet be known and alive in the minds and hearts of present and future generations. We gotta fight for this! So aid us God!
See you, Basiu! Beautiful and smart Polko.
Maria Dorota Pieńkowska
