The German investigative services revealed a group that planned to dispatch explosives parcels as part of a diversion operation, probablycoordinatedfrom Russia, said Spiegel on 14 May. According to paper sources, it is about Ukrainian citizens.
On the past weekend and Tuesday, at the request of the German national prosecutors, 3 persons suspected of preparing the shipment of "exploded" shipments on commission from Moscow were detained.
Two suspects were detained on the weekend, the 3rd — Tuesday. Arrests took place in Constance, Cologne and Switzerland.
The detainees were accused of ‘agent activities for sabotage’. They were to agree to carry out “fire under qualified conditions” and to organise an detonation of explosives on behalf of the Russian peculiar Services.
Investigators believe that suspects have already begun preparing for the execution of the order — they sent test packages with GPS trackers to addresses in Ukraine. 1 individual was to acquisition locators in Switzerland and hand them over to another individual in Constance who drove them to Cologne. From there, a 3rd individual organized a shipment to Ukraine to check the way of shipments.
However, it is noted that the investigation is at an early stage.
