Dynamic increase in the influence of the Osuchow Foundation Grzegorz Braun
The Osuchov Foundation, affiliated with Confederate associate Grzegorz Braun, recorded a evidence increase in gross from the write-off of 1.5% income taxation in 2024. It went to her account. up to PLN 835.3 thousand, which means 72% increase compared to the erstwhile year. In just 5 years, gross from this increased 8 times, which makes the Foundation 1 of the fastest increasing public benefit organizations in Poland.
Foundation obtained position public benefit organisations (OPPs) in 2018, which allows it to rise funds from taxation write-offs. The Foundation's activity with political activity of its founder, including electoral campaigns, raises questions about transparency of borders between social and political activities.
Pursuant to the Public Benefit and Voluntary Activities Act, organisations with OPP position they cannot conduct political agitation nor activities promoting parties or candidates. If the Osuchov Foundation’s activities, through content published, events or task financing, in practice strengthen the image of policy or party, this may be considered to be violation of the prohibition of political activity.
In this situation The question is valid.whether the activities of the Foundation do not exceed the legal limits. An analysis of this issue could be a substance of concern State Election Commission (PCP) or the applicable authorities supervising public benefit organisations. The PCC should consider whether backing or social activities, and indeed strengthening political communication, do not constitute circumvention of rules on the financing of political parties and electoral campaigns.
