Mayor Łukasz Gibała wants the form of the clean transport region to be decided by the residents in a referendum. The problem is that there is no referendum initiative, and according to lawyers, specified a vote, if it were to take place, would be against the law. The same as the simplification of the zone, which is being pushed by Vice-President Jan Hoffman.
