A good streak of White-Red in the first canoeing regatta of the planet Cup this period – on the track in Hungarian Szegeda they won 8 medals. 2 of them captured the canoes of the Central Military Sports Team. On the second phase of the podium stood 4 women, the same place won the St. Wide Spec. Dominica Putto in the 200 m one-way final.
An breathtaking fight at the finish for triumph in the final And 4 women in 500 m were represented by representatives of Poland and Germany. At the halfway point, they led canoes from across our western border. Paulina Pashek, Julie Marie Hake, Pauline Jagsch and Sarah Brüssler 250 m passed in time 44.12 p. The second place was taken by fresh Zealand women (44.38 s), 3rd – Chinese women (44.49 s), 4th – Spanish women (44.65 s), and 5th – Polish women (44.83). St. Wier. spec. Dominika Putto, st. Wier. Karolina Naja, st. Wier. Anna Puławska and Wier. Dominica Kąkol, however, was the fastest in the second episode. They were the only ones to beat the next 250 m below 46 p. Kajakarkom CGM In the second part of the competition, the time was 45.82 s, and German 46.19 p. Polkom did not manage to make losses from the first half to rivals from the west border – they lost gold by 0.34 p. The bronze medal was won by Chinese women who lost to White-Red 0.44 pp.
Five hours after winning the silver in the four-story spec. Dominic Putto competed in the final of the non-Olympic competition at a distance of 200 m. The CWZS canoe with a time of 40.01 finished in second position. At 0.82 s faster than she was Chinese Mengdie Yin. Bronze – with a score of 40.38 s – won Emily Lewis from the UK.
Only 0.06 s were missing to the podium st. Katarzyna Kołodziejczyk and Justyna Iskrzycka in the final of the canoeing twos at 500 m. The Polish took 4th position, and the fresh Zealanders Lisa Carrington and Alicia Hoskin were definitely triumphant. Unfortunately, the second of the Polish settlements in the line-up was not promoted to the final: St. Wiśniewska and Wisniewska. The settlement compiled from representatives of the CGM was disqualified in the elimination run for a double false start. On the another hand, Wiśniewska and Klatt together with Szerna Ostrowska and Julia Olszewski were placed in sixth position in the final And the 4 in which the silver was won by their friends.
Other medals for Poland were won in Hungary: gold – Olexia Koliadych (in competition C-1 200 m); silver – Sławomir Witczak (K-1 500 m), Jakub Stepun (K-1 200 m), Sylwia Szczerbińska and Aleksander Kitewski (C-2 mix 500 m) and Kacper Sieradan and Adrian Kłos (C-2 500 m); brown – Justyna Iskrzycka (K-1 1000 m).
Representatives of hosts triumphed in the medal classification in Szegeda. Hungarians won as many as 15 medals, including six gold and bronze and 3 silver. The second place was taken by the Chinese (3 – 0 – 1) and the 3rd ex aequo representations of fresh Zealand and Australia (2 – 1 – 0). The Reds were placed in eighth position (1 – 6 – 1). The medals were won by representatives of 21 countries and players competing under the aegis of ICF (International Canoe Federation). A year ago in Szeged, besides in the first planet Cup regatta season, Poles won 8 medals, and six of them – gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze – fell prey to CGM canoeists.
This season's second planet Cup competition in the kayaking sprint will be held on May 24–26 in Poznań.
