During the planet economical Forum in Davos, president Andrzej Duda stressed that it was the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who should beg for peace negotiations to begin in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.
Duda noted that “all conditions that will be agreed must be accepted by Ukraine”.
President Duda expressed his position that Russia cannot win this war, and that its conclusion should take place through a fair peace that will reconstruct the primacy of global law and supply Ukraine and another countries of the region with future security. He besides stressed that this peace should warrant Ukraine's existence as an independent, free and sovereign state.
During discussions on Ukraine's possible NATO membership, president Duda pointed out the request to keep a strong negotiating position towards Russia.
