Resistance was given by Pakistani fighters, most likely only Chinese production of Chengdu J-10, armed, among others, in Chinese air-to-air missiles PL-15E with a scope of about 145 km.

The following day, planet media reported that Pakistani fighters shot down at least 1 Indian Rafale. Then there were reports of likely shooting down the second Rafale and possibly besides Mirage 2000, MiG-29 and Su-30MKI. According to reports, all these machines were shot down with PL-15E missiles, most likely fired by J-10 fighters. Pakistani fighters most likely suffered no casualties.
Pakistan has besides respective twelve U.S. F-16 fighters (including F-16C/D Block 52+ versions almost identical to Polish), but it was decided to send Chinese J-10 to fight the latest Indian machines.
