Depopulation of Poland. That's how we condemn ourselves to self-destruction

pch24.pl 11 months ago

We spend money on hundreds of unnecessary and even harmful actions, and not, for example, very good Polish sociologists, psychologists, demographers to the UK to analyse why Polish women want to have children there! I was doing my own modest investigation simply asking Polish women from large Britain why children were born there and not in Poland. I besides asked Poles why, even though they declare they want more children, they don't have them. It turned out that the primary origin in both cases was a sense of safety and stability. So what if we have a advanced standard of living, so what if we're richer than we are for the communes, if it doesn't translate into a level of safety and stability, and that's for the childhood. – says Radomir Nowakowski, author of the book “Depopulation. Poland and the planet in the face of disaster”, which was published by PROHIBITA.

Dear Mr. Radomir, until late in public space the word depopulation was associated with various conspiracy theories. fresh years, especially the alleged coronavirus pandemic, erstwhile only 200,000 excess deaths occurred in Poland changed the communicative of the mainstream. The depopulation is no longer called conspiracy theory, but "women's election" or "historical necessity" which can be dealt with by migration. possibly there is nothing to panic about, and like this “mainstream” problem should be underestimated?

You absolutely must not underestimate this matter!

Depopulation is simply a general population reduction. If in Poland the number of people is actually decreasing – more people die than they are born – then we are dealing with a depopulation, not any conspiracy theory.

We have been dealing with a decrease in the population in Poland for about 10 years. In turn, the decline in fertility below the replacement capacity of generations has lasted for 34 years. 34 years!

If individual says it's a historical necessity, it's a most delicate mistake. Why would it be a historical necessity? due to the fact that there are besides many people?

Because there are about half of the countries in the planet that have problems with the replacement of generations, it is said that “nothing extraordinary is the same in Poland”.

Of course, the problem with the replacement of generations does not concern only Poland. However, alternatively of announcing empty slogans, that elsewhere it is the same as in Poland, it may be better to consider whether this kind of trend is beneficial for Poland, whether we are prepared for a falling number of citizens, or whether we are ready for less and less children. What are we going to do, like in a twelve years, not even specialists, but “ordinary workers” etc.? Can we replace them with immigrants? If so, where will we get them?

There are presently about 110 countries in the planet where there are no replacement generations. According to the UN, by 2050, there will be 137 specified countries. Knowing the methods it uses in its calculations of the UN, 1 can boldly presume that specified countries will be 150 or more by 2050, as indicated in the calculations of the medical diary The Lancet.

I stress: 150 countries out of the 197 existing in 2050 will have no replacement generation! So where do we get immigrants?

In Poland, most people will most likely say that from Ukraine. Ukraine itself is simply a very interesting case, which you compose a lot about in your book Depopulation. Ukrainians on the 1 hand even more than Polish women do not want to have children, and on the another they are very frequently rented for surrogates.

It is true, only if we calculate precisely how many births there are, we will announcement from here that they will not improve the tragic situation in Poland at all.

Almost 800,000 children were born in Poland in 1955. Now 257,000 are born if we number the birth of Poles themselves and 272,000 if we number the birth of Poles, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Vietnameses etc.

Surogation itself is not only something immoral for many people, but even if it is considered appropriate, it will not change anything. It will end like another activities promoted by the authorities, including in vitro. Millions of zlotys were invested, and nothing improved erstwhile it came to hard, real data. Not only in Poland.

I am not saying that surrogacy would improve anything in Poland. I would just like to point out that in Ukraine "children born for money" for people from the Far East, primarily from China made up a large percent of all births...

Such a thing was and inactive is. It shows first of all how bad the condition of Ukrainian society and especially women in Ukraine is, that they agree to something like this, that they consider it to be a way of making money and how bad the state of Ukrainian authorities that led the nation to specified a state that it is ready to make money selling children. Of course, individual here will say that “there are different situations.” Of course it is, but it does not change the fact that this is just not the best way to make money and build your future. It is unusual that no of the “man-rights” organizations announcement that the surrogate we are dealing with in Ukraine, for example, is modern human trafficking...

Not only that nobody pays attention to this, it promotes this kind of action. For example, in Belgium and France, where alleged homosexual couples apply to surogats, there are “child disputes” all year in the West.

Does that surprise you? Until recently, before the start of the Surrogacy Business, there were various sperm banks with the largest Danish company Cryos, which provided male semen. This besides became a business erstwhile alleged homosexual unions began legalizing in the West. It turned out at the time that these types of couples are very crucial customers of specified banks.

What you just said about Ukraine on the 1 hand actually shows us how terrible the condition of Ukrainian society is. On the another hand, it shows how tragic the situation is in Poland, where we are told that pregnancy is simply a disease, a kid is simply a parasite, and killing a kid in the womb is simply a choice. Women in Poland are to make careers, fulfill life, etc., and if there are no people to work, there will be more Ukrainians...

This is simply a false paradigm that unfortunately powerfully promotes left-wing-liberal environments.

If we look at the facts and not what the alleged mainstream communicative tells us, we will see that reality is much more complicated and many issues are not obvious.

At least 15 percent of couples in Poland have problems with happening in Poland. The main reason: they decide on children besides late. The period erstwhile a female can get pregnant is not as long as it seems to us.

Second, how many people in the planet have had any spectacular success? This is simply a very tiny minority! For the vast majority of people, “career” is hard work 8 to 12 hours a day in “normal” jobs. Most effort to live a average life. Unfortunately, we live in a time of race of rats and the planet turns us on, that we gotta constantly advance, “develop” professionally (whatever it means), combine work with passion etc.

Building a communicative about making a career very frequently is just a lie. It is not adequate that these "careers" at a closer look do not have so much, but in addition women who have been professionally successful in most studies are not necessarily satisfied with their decisions and with what they have achieved.

Demographers emphasize that not so long ago for most Poles the success of life was to start a household and have children. Currently, the success of life determines the number of vacation trips (not necessarily with children) and the number of streaming platforms that pays off all month.

That's the sad truth. There's been a precedence shift...

But erstwhile did this happen? Why didn't the Polish State announcement that? Why didn't we see it ourselves?

Certainly 1 of the breakthroughs was 1989 and the alleged fall of the communist system. The first thing we were told at the time was to get rich and make careers. Moreover, unfortunately, Poles in communism and after communism were "artificially poor". We have seen the rich West and it is not amazing that most of us have simply turned to improving their material status. Only that there was a second mechanism, namely the strategy that was created after 4 June 1989. Post-communist state system, post-colonial state with very complicated law, with a very complicated taxation system, with ubiquitous bribery etc.

In fact, the III strategy of the Polish Republic for many years did not let Poles to meet their inflated expectations. The alleged capitalism of the 3rd Republic of Poland was capitalism for the chosen, for "its own", for the service people, for the WSI and for this kind of people who could "make" financial careers.

What did Poles get? A tv image that says a real man must earn, and if he can't, he's a loser. But how were we expected to make money erstwhile the strategy wouldn't let it?

Of course, it was not only a problem of Poland, due to the fact that the situation was akin in many another post-communist countries. If we look at their fertility rates, we will announcement that they occurred everywhere after the fall of the commune, and the most dramatic decline occurred in the GDR. So the shock of transformation was enormous. Later there was a full promotion of consumer behaviour. Let us callback what came first in Poland? They were cantors, sex shops and video rental. A paradoxical thing has happened: not very well placed, not very rich Poles began to behave like very wealthy Westerners. There are people who are demoralized after they have become very rich and after being implemented for decades of cultural Marxism. We wanted to be strong and rapidly resembled them, so the full process lasted much shorter than in the West.

I remember what poorness was in the 1990s after the fall of communism. In my hometown with a candle in my hand, however, 1 could then look for a household with less than 2 children...

Only those children you talk of are descendants of people raised in the “old system”. If we were to extrapolate and decision a few, respective years into the future, was it in your hometown, e.g. in 2005, “a household that had little than 2 children was inactive looking for a candle in its hand”?

At the time it was "half-fifty"...

Exactly. It must have been that in the 1990s, children were born by force of inertia. The women who could have given birth at the time were much bigger than now...

Yeah. In a fewer years, women will be even little pregnant. Not only that there will be fewer, most of them do not want to have children even though – and this is an inexplicable paradox for me – most want to have children...

One very crucial origin in the fertility rate is the desire for women to have children. This is being studied practically in all country in the planet and in the vast majority of countries in the planet the declared number of children is somewhat higher than the actual number of children. For example, in African countries, women declare that they want, for example, 4 children, and they have five.

W Egypt was until late so that the women there declared that they wanted to have 2.8 children, and they had 3.3. In Poland we have a constant trend. Women declare they want a 2.14-2.15 child. This is what 3 sources indicate: CBOS, Eurostat and WVS. And here the question arises: why do Polish women in the UK declare that they want to have 2.14 children have 2.14 children, and Polish women in Poland have 1.3 children at the same time, and in 2023 1.16 children?

I would like to ask for detailed investigation to answer the question: what origin in Poland does not let Poles to have children, and in the UK it allows? How it is that Polish women in the UK are able to have as many children as they declare, and Polish women in Poland are not.

What do you think it comes from?

Out of a sense of stability.

But in the book Depopulation, you point out that Polish women in Britain are having more children in the first generation. Then there is simply a return to the Polish norm...

Until recently, more children were born in Britain than the European average. However, what usually happens in specified situations has happened. People are "social beings". Most of us are watching what's happening around them, and trying to adapt to it. If the tendency is that there are families with 1 kid around us, then there is simply a much better chance that we will have 1 kid ourselves. If there are people around us who have more than 2 children, then there is simply a greater probability that we will have more than 2 children.

In the UK, the Polish initially had a greater sense of safety and greater comfort resulting from stableness and strong social impact – English families had a small more children than Polish ones, so the Polish people were more willing to have more children.

I will mention the situation from 1 Polish mini-town where 4 families live. 2 of them have 2 children. 1 has no children due to the fact that it has cats that are their children, and they say to them, for example, “Mommy is already coming” ...

It shows how much cultural change we're dealing with, how much change of expectations... We were told that a kid is simply a problem, that a kid is simply a problem, that a kid disturbs...

Not only that. In this case, they decided on cats due to the fact that of... climate change. The people I'm talking about are vegan, but cats feed beef from a higher shelf...

Do shoes have leather?

I don't know. The second matrimony has no children due to the fact that the husband and wife are besides “beautiful and young” (they are fat after 30) to “get up at night and change the diaper.” They like to go to Croatia erstwhile more, or Greece, and make a career, and the children “come time”.

I'm afraid he's not coming... The investigation is clear: if a female is not pregnant by the age of 30, then she has a maximum of 50% chance of having children at all.

Because of my profession, I have the chance to talk to people at different stages of their lives. I've talked to quite a few women. 1 of them was a vocalist who told me how large it was erstwhile she was young, how large the fun was. Today, she is an older female who lives alone, who suffers from loneliness. She told me that if she had a mind—the 1 she now has—when she was a young girl, she would replace her wonderful vocal achievements with 1 child...

How does this relate to the dumping of texts in liberal-left media like: “I am 50 years old, I have no children and I am the happiest individual in the world”?

If we want it to be good, we gotta do precisely the other of the liberal-left media kind "Gazeta Wyborcza". They're just media with any sick anti-natal passion. So if they're promoting something, you gotta do the exact opposite.

Previous power has taken up various demographic programs. Unfortunately, most of them focused on spending another billion zlotys on various programs that yet became social programs. Cultural issues, intellectual issues, social issues etc. seemed to have no interest in the government of Mateusz Morawiecki...

There is no uncertainty that cultural issues are most important. If we're bombarded by an anti-natal transmission around here, it's gonna work. Sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger. Unfortunately, Poland is larger.

However, the anti-natal message is not all. It cannot be that in Poland law changes practically overnight. It cannot be that citizens are insecure about tomorrow, due to the fact that 1 session of the Sejm is adequate and we have a fresh legal fiend voted on that changes the situation by 180 degrees. It cannot be that we are constantly being imposed on more and more restrictive rules, which in addition can be interpreted in a million ways. In the Bible, this is called harassment and we have specified a strategy in Poland. The harassment system, the fear system, the uncertainty system. People who are harassed are not inclined to have more children.

About the erstwhile government. The good thing was that the problem was mentioned. It was not a good thing to usage a method that proved ineffective worldwide. Programmes akin to the 500 Plus programme were utilized in respective twelve countries of the world, and no of this helped to combat depopulation.

There is simply a mechanics that erstwhile you apply programs like 500 Plus it initially increases, but then it falls. Why? due to the fact that people who wanted kids anyway decided to have them a small earlier. But then the baby falls again.

In Poland, the question of the alleged pandemic and war in Ukraine has been raised, which have contributed importantly to the decrease in fertility rate. However, my favourite “argument” in the full discussion was presented by coalition politicians on 13 December, and it reads: “Women do not give emergence to anger against Kaczyński for banning abortion.”

I don't really know how to comment... I'll say this: they're not giving birth to anger, not Kaczynski. These women will be retired someday, and these women will not be able to number on support from children, playing with grandchildren, etc. I know erstwhile you're young, you don't think about it. However, I meet quite a few people at different stages of life and I see their loneliness, I see their problems, I see their dramas. Women have been told all sorts of stupid things that are not true. He told them that it was important, right, and needed, and unfortunately they do not realize that they are being harmed in this way! That they actually hurt themselves by believing all this and doing what they're told to do.

God bless the conversation.
