"Swedish Defence Minister Pal Jonson stresses that in the face of Russian aggression NATO must strengthen its defence capabilities and associate States must increase its arms spending. The EU should support NATO, including through the improvement of the arms industry. Sweden wants to strengthen cooperation with Poland, including buying Polish military equipment for Ukraine. Jonson points out that the Baltic and the Arctic are strategical areas for Sweden. It points out that peace should be concluded on the terms of Ukraine and that the West should increase force on Russia – arms supplies and the usage of frozen Russian means. Russia only understands strength. This is the best way to peace – he concludes.”
