Maciej Miłosz: Rzeczpospolita:‘Armour of the Polish Army in 2030’“Poland leads the largest post-war modernization of the army – spending increased from PLN 50 billion in 2020 to over PLN 200 billion a year, and by 2030 the number of troops is expected to scope 300,000 soldiers. The plan includes e.g. the expansion of anti-aircraft defence (Patriot, Narew, Pilica+), purchases of Abrams and K2, cannonhaubic K9 and Krab tanks, Himalayas and Chunmoo launchers. Aviation will receive F-35, FA-50, upgraded F-16 and Apache helicopters, AW-149. The Navy will gain a frigate Swordfish, the ships of the Dolphin and the Kormoran. Challenges include ammunition, logistics, service and training. The nonsubjective is simply a coherent, modern army in 2030"
