On Friday (16.05.2025) the 5th edition of the final gala of the Polish Military Championship in the fight in close contact was held in the amphitheatre in Ostróda. In the octagon the 26 best warriors of the Polish Army faced, who competed in 13 weight categories. As a consequence of the fighting, Lieutenant Justyn Nowick of CSWOT became Deputy Master of the Polish Army in mixed martial arts.
"Every soldier's heart is the ability to fight. The past gala proved that the best warriors from the full Armed Forces gathered in the octagon, who showed outstanding physical performance, skills and the heart of the warrior. I am highly arrogant that in this honourable group there was an officer from the WOT Training Centre, who showed real strength of character in the octagon, fighting a much more experienced opponent."
Lieutenant Justyna Nowicka is simply a platoon commander at the WOT Training Centre, in which he is liable for training soldiers daily. She has been active with sports practically since she was a child, and she had her first contact with elements of martial arts in advanced school. During the final gala, she faced a more experienced opponent, with whom she held a three-round tight and leveled duel. Finally, Lieutenant Nowicka became Deputy Master of the Polish Army in close contact.
“The fight was full of emotion, levelled and heavy. I faced an experienced professional who showed her advantage in the ground floor. Together we showed character and gave 100%. I am arrogant to wear a hard-earned runner-up title. I don't slow it down, I turn it up to be a better version of myself all day. Thank you all for your support and cheering and I assure you that this was not my last fight and I did not say my last word.”
The “Mom's Fight in Blood” task is organized and led by the Ministry of National Defence. Its main goal is to popularize combat sports among soldiers and society and advance the Polish Army. Service in the Polish army promotes not only movement activity and healthy lifestyle, but above all sports competition based on a spirit of respect and brotherhood. The final gala held in Ostróda was already the 5th installment of this event and the culmination of the fight tournament in close contact with the full Polish Army.
