On 5 June this year, exercises of the Regional Crisis Management squad under the code name "CRISIS 2025" were held in Jarosław County. The event aimed at checking the functioning of emergency services, safety entities and crisis management in the region.
The intent of the exercise was to check the procedures of the region services, inspections and guards. It besides included checking the sanitary position of water reservoirs and the capture of drinking water in the border zone, as well as improving the epizootic position in that zone. The exercise was besides intended to aid make a way of exchanging information between services, inspections and guards, and the Centre for Emergency Management. Among the many participants of local and uniformed units, the soldiers of the 202th Border defender Battalion from the 20th Industrial Territorial Defence Brigade took part. Exercises were carried out in densely forested areas, which was to prepare realistically for an effective consequence to crisis situations. It was besides intended to strengthen the cooperation of all emergency management services.
The task of the 202nd Border defender Battalion was to participate in the implementation of a drill script involving the separation of forces and resources to support the search for the fallen game and those who committed the terrorist act. These activities were carried out jointly with the Police and Border Guard. Participation in exercises, a wide scope of services, stressed the importance of crisis response. It besides aimed at coordinating actions between the various emergency services and safety authorities.
The summary highlighted the importance of cooperation between the institutions in ensuring the safety of the residents of the region and improving rescue activities during joint cyclical emergency consequence exercises, which affects their effectiveness.
