Confederation Club loses 2 MPs

Members of Włodzimierz Skalik and Roman Fritz, members of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, performed from the Confederate Members' Club. On Monday in the Sejm, Skalik, the vice-chair of the club, informed about this decision. The Confederacy Club now has 16 members after the departure of both Members.

The Skalik during a press conference in the Sejm assessed that "Confederation was taken from the position of the perfect right to the central swamp". "Therefore, due to the fact that the perfect right should continue, and now and in the future, in the Polish Parliament, I declare that I and associate Roman Fritz, Members of the Confederation of the Polish Crown present are leaving the Confederate parliamentary club" - he said.

"We decided to leave this environment due to the fact that we believe that there is no area for the perfect right" - he added.

On Monday evening, Skalik posted on platform X a photograph of his writing to talker of the Sejm Simon Holownia, in which he informed of his resignation from the Confederate Membership.

Amendments to the Confederation

Earlier on last Saturday, the Confederate legislature changed the structures of the group. On its Council of Leaders, no of the activists of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, whose president is removed from the organization in January, is present.

Mr Witold Tumanowicz, who presided over the legislature on Saturday, explained that the list of members of the Council did not include members of the Confederation of the Polish Skalik Crown and Robert Iwaszkiewicz. MP Fritz, besides an activist of "Corona", withdrew from moving for group structures. Moreover, as Tumanowicz said - Skalik and Iwaszkiewicz, by decision of the Partition Court, were excluded from the group.

The changes concerning activists of the Confederation of the Polish Crown are linked to the January decision of Grzegorz Braun to run against the party's findings in this year's presidential election. The Confederation's authoritative candidate is Sławomir Mentzen. Skalik and Iwaszkiewicz were removed due to their support for Braun's candidacy; Skalik is besides the head of his election staff.

In July, erstwhile MP of this formation Janusz Korwin-Mikke informed about the Confederacy's failure to call for the Congress, to which - erstwhile all 5 years - I am bound by the statute. Korwin-Mikke so submitted a request to the territory Court in Warsaw to establish for the organization of the curator who was dismissed by the court. The Court of First Instance held that, pending the fresh composition of the Confederate bodies, members of the erstwhile Members proceed to fulfil their duties.

The MP and the Confederate Treasurer Michał Wawer then explained that the organization legislature would be convened "in due time". He argued that "in no group of "the center of the electoral cycle" it is not a minute to change interior authorities".

On Monday evening Korwin-Mikke stated on platform X: "Today I formally appeared from the Confederacy". "The betrayal of the program is 1 thing - but the methods..." - he added.

In October 2023, Korwin-Mikke was suspended in the rights of a Confederate associate and expelled from the Leaders' Council. The organization court besides received a motion to punish him for sabotaging the campaign. (PAP)
