The solemn cap of the Polish Army and the appeal of the memory, which took place on Thursday at the Military Cemetery in Powązki in Warsaw, began celebrations of the Polish Army Festival, established in memory of the large triumph of the Polish weapon over Bolsheviks in the conflict of Warsaw on 15 August 1920. president Karol Nawrocki and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish attended the ceremony.
As all year, on the eve of the Polish Army, politicians, soldiers and residents of the capital gathered in a place where the heroes of the Warsaw conflict remainder to pay tribute to them and to give wreaths at the monument of the fallen in 1920. president Karol Nawrocki and national defence minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz were present at the solemn cap and memorial appeal.

As he stressed, the solemn cap of memory and appeal takes place on the eve of the “miracles over the Vistula” in order “to bow together before the graves of our heroes, this youth of 1920, who set out to call for the defence of the capital.” – We come here to light these symbolic candles, so that soldiers of the Polish Army remember those who were before them. You didn't come out of nowhere. You came here with a large past and tradition of Polish weapons. You are his heirs in the best installment. You are to live beautifully for your homeland. Although you are determined to give your life for it, you have a beautiful life for it – he turned to Kosiniak-Kamish soldiers.

They said "no" to russian barbarism and anti-civilization, civilization of destruction, cruelty, barbarism and death, with which the Polish Army and Polish soldier won in 1920, on behalf of Poland all over Europe," president Karol Nawrocki emphasized in his speech. Addressing the soldiers, the head of the armed forces indicated that they were descendants of the winners in 1 of the most crucial battles in the past of the 20th century. – This is the gene of our nation, that erstwhile it comes to fighting for values, for our freedom, sovereignty and independence, then the Polish soldier is always where he should and does not calculate whether this fight pays off, whether he will be the winner or the winner. The central celebration of the Polish Army Day will begin on 15 August at 10 a.m., erstwhile president Karol Nawrocki will take part in the solemn change of the honorary station before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
