Therefore, I appeal to those who effort to direct specified threats: they will not be let go of amphibians – with specified a message the fresh Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek began office.


Shortly after the oath, the fresh minister appeared in the Justice Ministry. He began by laying flowers under a walled ministry plaque commemorating victims of Nazi and Stalinist regimes.

"We will reconstruct the regulation of law, we will rebuild the state of law"

– This symbolic laying of flowers is simply a tribute to those heroes who are a model for us. due to the fact that authoritarianism is taking various forms in Europe today. It is not that democracy is given to us erstwhile and for all, we must fight for it, we must cultivate it," Waldemar Żurek said.

“Everyone who has seen is folding flowers, I would like to encourage him to read the contents of the board, which is located on the Ministry of Justice building. We must remind about these heroes, due to the fact that they were the characters who were tormented in the basements of this building, who gave their lives for the freedom of Poland, were our heroes who fought against authoritarianism: first with German, fascist, Nazi and then Stalinist – he said.

He then told journalists about his plans.

– Since I see that the danger of losing democracy is something truly serious, I will do everything to reconstruct the regulation of law and the principles of the tripartition of authorities, and above all to respect the Constitution and all the global treaties which bind Poland. I do not want to talk about intentions today, due to the fact that "you will know them by deeds," he said.
