One of the most crucial events in all soldier's life is behind us. On June 10, 2025, a ceremony was held in the appeal square of the 10th Wroclaw Communications Brigade to give arms to participants of voluntary training as part of the "Holiday with the Army 2" program, which is aimed at young people wishing to experience a vacation adventure, gain unique experience and knowledge.

The weapon is not only a symbol of faithfulness and devotion to the Homeland. The act of giving it is not simply a formality, but a minute that is forever remembered by all soldier. This is the beginning of a road that leads to full service in the Armed Forces of Poland.

The handing over of arms is an crucial turning point in the process of training young soldiers from that minute on, both dynamics and its character have changed. Volunteers from the 10th Wrocław Communications Brigade carry out a 27-day training program, culminating in the declaration of a solemn military oath.

During intensive classes, participants will learn, among others, drills, shooting, tactics and field studies, first aid rules as well as elements of survival. Training will combine explanation with practice, thus giving future soldiers solid grounds for further service.

Training organised by the 10th Wroclaw Communications Brigade is simply a combination of vacation adventure, individual improvement and real chance to take up military service – stressed Brigadier Piotr Bastkowski “Our unit is arrogant to proceed the project, which was a immense success last year. Thanks to initiatives like this, we have acquired many valuable soldiers who are now successfully serving in our ranks.

The "Holiday with the Army" programme is completely free, voluntary and open to all those willing. Participants are provided with accommodation in barracks and full board for training.

After the basic course, volunteers can proceed their military service, taking up another challenge and starting the 11 months of specialist training.

This year, the Wrocław Communications Brigade has 2 more "Holidays with the Army 2" programmes that will start on 14 July and 18 August. Recruitment has already begun and the number of seats is limited.
