[Lithuania in December 2022](https://defence24.pl/defence-policy/litwa-order-new-generation-caesarow) informed of the conclusion of a contract for the acquisition of 18 French production of cannonhaubic CAESAR NG with the Nexter Group (now KNDS France). Earlier, due to the fact that a letter of intent was signed in this case during [Eurosatory 2022 deals](https://defence24.pl/defence-defence-policy/litva-France-force-god-war). Vilnius planned to spend EUR 110-150 million on the French artillery and the essential back-up. The transportation deadline was set for 2027. During the June NATO summit in The Hague, the defence ministers of France and Lithuania were to discuss this issue.
