British military bases in Ukraine? Against the background of the "Centennial Partnership" agreement

The paper provides that United Kingdom will cooperate with Ukraine to identify common military needs and cooperation to grow the capacity and technology that both countries can make together.

‘Participants will consider deployment and maintenance options defence infrastructure on Ukraine, including military bases, material-technical warehouses, warehouses with supplies of military equipment (...). These facilities can be utilized to strengthen the defence capabilities of both countries in the event of a serious military threat, as stated in the "stun-year partnership" agreement.

According to the European Truth, the wording contained in the paper sounds like theoretical possibility – so far, the format for the deployment of possible military bases is not clear.

As the portal noted, the question remains open how this intention relates to the applicable Article 17 of the Constitution of Ukrainewhich states that on the territory of the State It is not permitted to deploy abroad bases military.

President Zelenski and Prime Minister Starmer signed on 16 January in Kiev"A hundred-year partnership agreement" both countries. It covers, inter alia, safety issues, enhanced defence cooperation, wellness protection, technology and cooperation in the field of migration.
