– Yes, there will be a “green wave” for trams, due to the fact that it is simply a modern solution and it is better for everyone – this crucial declaration came from the first Vice president of Łódź, Adam Pustelnik, during the meeting-walk in the Łódź territory of Dąbrowa. What another promises have been made? What was the dialog between power and civilian servants? Learn about this very interesting event.

It's always glorious erstwhile power meets citizens and wants to talk to them.

So he is pleased that the first Vice president of Łódź – Adam Pustelnik – alternatively of, according to his name, avoiding people, decided to meet them. The subject of this walk in 1 of the largest Łódź districts was to be ,,communication, greenness and more.”

In specified a situation, of course, the typical of the Institute of civilian Affairs could not miss it. I had the privilege of performing this function.

"Citizen Activity" and "Lodz.pl" – collision of viewpoints

A fewer minutes before the planned gathering on the site – next to the celebrated Pioneer buying home – there were many people already. Local media representatives besides began to appear. A local free paper of the City Council was distributed – Łódź.pl.

Of course, I was no worse than representatives of the master's degree and I did not come under the "Pioner" with empty hands.

I've distributed our social paper to the audience. "Civil Activity" is simply a number in which we describe both the problems and prospects of the improvement of Łódź public transport.

When the inhabitants of Dąbrowa rolled together both newspapers to hide them in a bag or pocket, a very interesting, tasteful composition was created – intense, sweet candy pouring from the authoritative message of the City Office, it was broken by a note of bitterness present in articles written by Łódź socialists for our newspaper. This is simply a real intellectual feast!

Of course, in addition to bitter reflections, "Civil Activity" besides contains very circumstantial content, created by experts and a large dose of hope to improve the situation in our collective communication in Lodz.

One of the most crucial demands of the experts cooperating with us is undoubtedly the request to introduce a green wave in Łódź for trams, which is simply a real precedence in light-signalling for this efficient and ecological urban transport.

I think I can tell you right now, dear readers, that it was the task of the president to ask about the "green wave" for trams that was my most crucial mission at this meeting.

Finally, the first Vice president of Łódź appeared on the scene – Adam Pustelnik.

After a brief welcome you could go to questions.

First question about the green wave

To my surprise, the question of "green wave" was raised at the very beginning of the meeting. I did not ask it only a young man who asked why the tram, moving on the renovated track of Dąbrowskiego Street, wastes unnecessary time, stopping twice at the intersection with Tatrzanska Street: erstwhile on a red light before the intersection and twice at the halt after the intersection.

He asked if it would be possible to set the light signal so that the tram would always have green light there.

Of course, he unwittingly asked about the precedence in light signals for tram communication.

Just to explain – the tram usually stops twice in places like this, due to the fact that it has long been in the framework of the reconstructions of the intersection in Łódź, so that the tram halt is located behind the intersection. So the infrastructure is built as if the "green wave" were to function there – passengers do not gotta worry about the fact that the halt is behind the intersection if they know that the tram always has green light.

As shortly as the young man had finished speaking, I picked up the subject and shouted: Yes! “Green wave” for trams – a good idea!

This time, Mr Vice President's answer was very general – he replied that the subject would be examined.

I have the impression that this last request has not been full understood and accepted by the vice president and a number of officials. Again, I was told that the city budget is not infinite.

Well, then possibly I didn't explain it precisely enough.

It seems that this subject will should be raised in another consultation walk with the vice president.
