A block of sanctions against Russia. 2 countries rejected another EU package

Hungary and Slovakia did not support the EU plan to introduce the 18th package of sanctions against Russia. This was confirmed by Hungarian abroad Minister Peter Szijjarto. There was 1 key issue.


– We did this due to the fact that the European Union wants to prohibit associate States, including Hungary and Slovakia, from buying inexpensive Russian natural gas and Russian oil," Peter Szijjarto said.

Reutera stresses that Hungary and Slovakia are inactive dependent on Russian gas and oil supplies and keep a warm relation with Moscow.
