During fresh attempts at the Air Show in Radom, the day the F-16 crashed, there was a dangerous situation in the air. The fighter, which was flown by Major Maciej "Slab" Krakowian, was in the dangerous vicinity of the FA-50 school-fighting aircraft. Radio records show that the air traffic controller misinformed the machines and passed misinformation on to pilots. Radio correspondence was badly run by both sides and there was a failure of situational awareness.
