The training lasted 10 weeks. Its participants learned about the construction of the tank and the principles on which its instrumentation works. The most important, however, was the practice – learning driving and shooting, which culminated in the course. Classes were conducted at the camp in Biedrusek, Poznań. – First of all, each crew fired a control shot – says Colonel Maciej Łukarski, commander of the combat car battalion at CSWL. After the rocket was loaded, the soldiers left the tank, and the blast was initiated by a cable with a trigger. – Only after obtaining confirmation that all components of the combat compartment are functional, and their usage does not endanger the safety of the crew, we were able to engage in appropriate shooting – explains Colonel Lukarski.
