In the last year, the value of recently issued permits to export German arms to Israel has already decreased significantly. According to data from the German Ministry of Economy, arms exports to Israel with a full value of EUR 14.5 million were approved from the beginning of the year to the end of August. Out of this sum, only little than EUR 33 000 afraid offensive weapons, a drastic decrease compared to EUR 326.5 million a year earlier. Officials explain that each licence is presently being examined individually, taking into account global law and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
