Former Prime Minister Beata Szydło of the PiS, on the Radio Zet program unexpectedly praised the Confederate candidate Sławomir Mentzen. She said Mentzen makes a "very good run and indeed these crowds of young people make an impression". However, she assured that Karol Nawrocki, who would compete against Rafał Trzaskowski, would enter the second round.
