Sunday, May 25, 2025, Warsaw became the arena of 2 powerful political demonstrations: the large Patriot March, organized by the staff of Rafał Trzaskowski, and the March for Poland, supporting the candidacy of Karol Nawrocki. Both events took place a week before the second circular of the presidential election, culminating in the run and an effort to mobilise the electorate.

Two marches, 2 transmissions

The large Patriot March began at noon in Bank Square. According to City Hall estimates, about 140,000 people participated in it, making it 3 times as many as the rival's parallel march. The participants included leaders of the governing coalition: Donald Tusk, Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Magdalena Biejat.

Rafał Trzaskowski, speaking to the gathered, stressed the request for unity and dialogue:

"It is advanced time she won honesty, righteousness, justice, truth. This is what these elections are about."

On the another hand, the March for Poland, supporting Karol Nawrocki, departed from the Roundabout de Gaulle and ended at Castle Square. According to various sources, between 50 and 70 000 people participated. Nawrocki, president of the IPN and candidate supported by the Law and Justice, in his speech referred to national and Christian values:

“There goes great, proud, strong Poland. There's a change coming. We will win.”

The symbolic run finale

Both marches were not only a demonstration of force, but besides a symbolic conclusion of the run before the decisive vote. Trzaskowski, the leader in the first circular with a score of 31.4%, tries to keep the advantage, calling for unity and the continuation of changes. Nawrocks, who gained 29.5%, mobilizes a conservative electorate, promising to return to conventional values and security.

Both demonstrations conducted calmly, without incidents, indicating the political maturity of society and its commitment to the democratic process.
