Two days before the Central Celebration of the Polish Army at the seat of the Ministry of Defence, a formal gathering was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the head of the Ministry of National Defence and the highest commanders of the Polish Army. – Thank you for all life you've saved, for all aid you've given. Especially for last September's actions in Lower Silesia, Opole, in places where the flood had to be protected. Your service was priceless at the time," said the head of the MON. – I enjoy these distinctions for the best units, for the large academy, for peculiar units. I'm happy for all of your distinctions. I proudly signed each of them," he added.

Thanks to the soldiers for their service at the borders of the state, for which 14 of them were present awarded a peculiar sign “For the Protection of the Borders of the Republic of Poland”, Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned the tragically deceased Sergeant. He is simply a soldier of the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade, who was fatally stabbed by an illegal migrant while trying to halt crossing the state border. “We will not forget this sacrifice and it cannot be in vain,” said Kosiniak-Kamish. “I do not want you to quit your lives beautifully, but to service your homeland wonderfully,” said the Minister of Defence.

– I pay my respects for your service, for your sacrifice, for your devotion to your country. Thank you for your service. This is the motto of this year's Polish Army vacation – said Deputy Prime Minister.
