On Monday morning, the State Election Commission announced the authoritative results of the 2nd circular of the presidential election. The winner was Karol Nawrocki. President-in-Office Andrzej Duda addressed his successor directly. He besides thanked Rafał Trzaskowski.


"Mr President-Elect Dr. Charles Nawrock one more time congratulates on the election victory. It was a difficult, sometimes painful but highly brave fight for Poland, about how the matters of our Homeland should be conducted" - said Andrzej Duda on the X site.

He besides expressed his thanks for the "heroic fight" and for the triumph besides for the Nawrocki household and his colleagues.

Finally, he besides thanked Rafał Trzaskowski: "I besides thank all candidates in these elections, in peculiar Mr Rafał Trzaskowski. Thank you for your determination to fight for the presidency. Thank you for your willingness to take work for Poland."



Karol Nawrocki is the fresh president of Poland. That's how Andrzej Duda reacted.

As we wrote in onTemat.pl, on Monday morning the State Election Commission gave authoritative election results. Karol Nawrocki received 50.89 percent. It was voted by 10,606,628 citizens.

His rival, Rafał Trzaskowski, received 49.11 percent of the vote. He was identified by 10,237,177 people. The turnout in these elections reached a historical record, at 71.63 percent.

After announcing the results, Andrzej Duda has already published a message on social media. "Thank you! To attendance. To fulfilling a civic duty. For taking work for Poland," he wrote.

He went on to address his successor directly, making a spelling error: "Congratulations to the Winners! (Winners - ed.) proceed strong POLSKO".
