The National Prosecutor's Office published a communication on Wednesday announcing the conduct of the examination of ballot cards from the 2 Circuit Election Commissions. In accordance with the procedure, after re-calculation of the votes, it turned out that 1 of the committees examined had been replaced. More than 150 votes cast on Rafał Trzaskowski were wrongly attributed to Karol Nawrock. On the another hand, in the second committee the votes for Trzaskovsky were sealed in the election cards assigned to Nawrock. The National Prosecutor's Office stresses that irregularities may indicate the anticipation of committing a crime in the committees under examination.

The National Prosecutor's Office informed on Wednesday that on 17 June, the Prosecutor of the territory Prosecutor's Office in Bielsko-Biała, authorised by the lawyer General, took part in the sitting of the territory Court in Bielsko-Biała, “on the execution of the appeal of the ultimate Court and the examination of voting cards from the 2 Circuit Election Commissions”.

The prosecutor oversaw the election cards from the second circular of the presidential election. Irregularities confirmed

The gathering was intended to find the number of votes attributed to individual candidates in the 2 Circuit Election Commissions which were given during the second circular of the presidential election on Sunday, 1 June. In the course of the examination, the votes were recalculated from the committee procedure twice. The inspection confirmed an irregularity.

"As a consequence of this exercise, it was established that in 1 of the regional electoral commissions there was a replacement of votes cast for individual candidates for the president of the Republic of Poland, which led to the mistaken reception that more votes in this circuit were obtained by Karol Nawrocki, while in fact they were given to Rafał Trzaskowski" - explained the National Prosecutor's Office in a communication.

"In the case of the second committee, it was revealed that 160 votes cast for candidate Rafał Trzaskowski, out of the full number of 959 votes cast, were placed in a closed and sealed package with votes attributed to candidate Karol Nawrock and subsequently wrongly shown in the electoral protocol as votes cast for him," we read on the PK website.

The National Prosecutor's Office stresses that the irregularities revealed rise "serious doubts as to the reliability of the work of the designated electoral commissions and besides point to the anticipation of committing a crime".
