Another large ammunition contract for the Polish Armed Forces Group. The group-owned Mesko of Skarżyska-Kamienna will produce tank-based APFSDS-T projectiles. Although not stated how many were ordered, it is known that the value of the contract signed present is PLN 150 million. The deliveries are to be made between 2026 and 2027.
All Leopard 2 tanks, meaning Model 2A4, 2A5 and Leopard 2PL, are equipped with a smooth-bore Rh 120 L44 with a 120 mm calibre, developed by specialists from Rheinmetall. On Friday, May 30, the Armed Forces Agency signed a transportation contract with Mesko between 2026 and 2027 1000 units (not disclosed exactly) cannon ammunition Rh 120 L44. The Treasury will pay for ordered missiles about 150 million PLN.

The APFSDS-T (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot – Tracer) sub-calibre missiles can harm targets about 4 km away, weigh 7.3 kg and the intended burden – 8.4 kg. They scope first (output) velocity of 1670 m/s.
