Soldiers of the 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence one more time proved that the service of the Homeland was besides aid to those in need. In consequence to the call of the Regional Centre for Blood and Blood, they donated nearly 19 litres of blood.
On Wednesday, June 25, at the office of 10 ŚBOT in Kielce, a blood collection was held in cooperation with the Regional Center for Blood and Blood. It was attended by 42 soldiers from the Kielce brigade divisions. Together they donated nearly 19 liters of blood – a priceless life-saving medicine.
– Today, we “pour blood” for people, giving it distant during HDK collection. We encourage our example to share the most precious gift of our blood. Since each drop is on the weight of gold, we encourage everyone to become active in blood donation activities – said Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of 10 WBOT.
This is another action of the Honorary Bloodbath (HDK) organized by the Świętokrzyskie Territories this year. In May, soldiers of the 103rd Light Infantry Battalion from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski donated almost 14 liters of blood, and additionally participated in the event “MotoBlood”, passing another 4 liters. Many soldiers besides donate blood individually in regional centers.
– Our soldiers regularly share blood. This is our regular mission, not only at the camp, but besides at the service of the public," adds Lieutenant Daniel Woś, press officer of 10 WBOT.
In 2024 the Świętokrzyskie Territorials had already organised respective specified actions, and last year – during collective and individual donations – they gave a full of over 321 litres of blood and its components as part of 698 donations. The shares were held, among others, in Kielce, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and Sandomierz.
