The inaugural conference was held at the AGH University in Krakow Cyber LEGION program, which is to combine forces of the military and civilian environment to make competences, investigation and joint activities in the area of cybersecurity. During the ceremony, the university authorities signed a cooperation agreement with the office of the Cyberspace defence Army. Thus AGH joined the Cyber LEGION program as the second after Warsaw University.

The function of the state is to make effective usage of the ability and skills of citizens to build a strong and safe society," said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and stressed that this is how the strength and resilience of the state is built. The defence minister explained that Cyber LEGION is an invitation to cooperate with the most prominent specialists in the field of digital, modern technology, computer science, but besides artificial intelligence – to cooperate regular with the Cyberspace defence Army Component. Cyber LEGION is simply a unique platform combining military and civilian environments. The programme involves extended teaching, technological and organisational cooperation and participation of the institutions active in projects, training and exercises organised by DKWOC. It is besides a joint research, workshops and technological conferences or activities to make competences in the fields of technological innovation, artificial intelligence and automation of safety systems. There are besides plans to make improvement paths for students and specialists who want to tie their career with defence – both in uniform and in the civilian sector.
